The US stock markets ended Monday’s trading on a decline, pulling the stock indices downwards, and recording losses in each of the following sectors : the oil and natural gas sectors, the financial sector and the consumer goods sector, so that the Dow Jones index recorded a decline of 1.40%, in While the Nasdaq index fell by 1.93%, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index fell by 1.79%.
On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the Japanese Nikkei index fell by 0.42% to 27,704.06 points, while the broader Topix index fell by 0.28% to 1942.53 points.
Oil futures and gold futures rose during the Asian session on Tuesday ;
According to the Comex classification of the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures rose by 0.16%, to be traded in February at $ 1,784.10 an ounce at the time of writing, up by 0.16%.
As for oil futures, they rose by 0.92%, to be traded in January at $77.64 a barrel.
US Nymex light crude rose by 1%, reaching levels near $77.9 per barrel, an increase of $0.8.
As for the benchmark Brent crude, it rose to levels near $83.7 per barrel, after it increased by 0.9%, or the equivalent of $0.7 per barrel, during these moments of trading today.
