Bitcoin Exceeds $20,000 !

Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, managed to exceed the $20,000 level, rising by more than 5%, to $20,286 in particular. Followed by Ether, the second largest cryptocurrency, which rose by 4%.

 

Gold futures are rising up about 0.29% during the Asian session, they traded in December at $1,638.10 an ounce.

 

Crude oil futures also rose by 0.38%, to be traded at $77.00 a barrel.

 

On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the Nikkei index rose by 0.58% to 26,585.38 points, while the Topix index rose by 0.45% to 1872.71 points.

 

As for American stocks, they closed lower at the end of trading yesterday in New York, as their indices accompanied to the bottom :  the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down by 1.11%, the Standard and poor’s 500 fell by 1.03%, while the Nasdaq fell by 0.6%.

 

This came because investors are anxious about the US central bank’s anti-inflation campaign, which could lead to a severe economic contraction, as well as due to the large movements in the global exchange market, where the pound sterling reached its lowest level ever !
