Today gold futures and crude oil futures rose during the Asian session.
As the gold futures contract was traded in December at $1,685.30 an ounce, its price increased by 0.42%, after it had previously been trading at $1,688.05 an ounce.
On the other hand, the silver declined by 1.05% in December, to be traded at $19.56 per ounce, while the copper price rose by 0.43% to be traded at $3.54 per pound.
According to the New York Mercantile Exchange, crude oil futures rose on Tuesday by 0.09%, as they traded in November at $85.44 a barrel.
Investors are awaiting the rate of the US central bank raising interest rates, as a result Wall Street closed higher yesterday, pulling US stock indices to the upside, as the Standard & Poor’s index increased by 0.7%, while the Nasdaq index increased by 0.76 %. The New York Mercantile Exchange is also expected to close higher by the end of the day.
Regarding Japanese stocks, the Nikkei index rose by 0.8%, while the Topix index rose by 0.65%.
It is known that the japanese Bank will end its meeting on Thursday, and when deciding to keep interest rates short and long term, it is expected that it will take into account the fragility of the Japanese economic recovery.
